Very happy with the solar & battery installation done by Western Elec, the boys were on time, did a high quality job and left my roof and backyard neat and tidy. They quoted a variety of different brand batteries and solar panels to select from, which also covered different setup options. Micheal took time out to explain in detail any questions I had before and after the install. They helped set up the solar usage app and showed me how it works. The quoting process was good. You speak directly to them (to the electrician). I asked for a quote to a particular solar battery but he sent me a few options. I was glad because there was a better option and a good value from which I chose to install. The waiting between placing the order and install took at least 2 months or more which is understandable due to the current situation now. Michael and Tom has done a great job with the installation. It was very tidy and done professionally. Because my house is a double storey, I didn't even expect that they will insert all the cables through the walls unlike other installers that were using a conduit to run the cables outside and make your house looks ugly. And once done, they left everything in a perfectly clean and orderly state. They also managed the solar battery's configuration and rebate. I highly recommend them and will call them again for sure. System was Alpha ESS 30 Kw solar battery. Installed: 10/11/2025

Dealing with Tom and Michael has been an absolute pleasure. The quote process was very simple. They took my requirements into consideration and provided the assistance I asked for. Being a new build they were flexible in working with the builder's electrician to have all the cabling done internally during the build. They came back post build to install the panels and inverter/smart meter along with the bird netting. They answered all my calls/text and emails promptly and guided me through the connection process even contacting Fronius a couple of times to ensure everything was done right. They were also kind enough to install my inverter cover. Overall, it is a very neat install. We couldn't be happier.

Michael from Western Elec has been amazing throughout the whole process, from taking a lot of time with me during the quote phase, helping us with the design of the panel layout, to timing of the job. On the day of installation both Michael and Tom were on time and worked an 11 hour day to get the job done. The panels are black and super low profile (Trina) along with black racking, the whole installation is extremely neat and almost invisible. Conduits run down the side of the house are tucked in behind downpipes and very neat. Sungrow inverter installed in our garage is so neat with no conduits visible (all hidden in the wall cavity). We also got them to install our EV Car charger on the same day. The guys were very understanding of the best position for it and how neat I wanted the job. It looks amazing. All components synchronised and working in harmony. I totally recommend Western Elec as a couple of local guys who are meticulous and courteous.
