After numerous discussions and phone calls with Solar Masters, there was a clear and detailed understanding of what was required for the installation of the solar panels, inverter and battery system. This included the required switchboard upgrade, the amount of additional cabling, and the integration of the existing solar panels. These requirements were discussed specifically to ensure that everything was included in the agreed price and that there would be no unexpected additional charges on the day of installation. Despite this, after paying the deposit, I heard nothing from Solar Masters for approximately five weeks. I eventually had to contact the company myself to request an update and an installation date. This level of communication is completely unacceptable and falls well below what I would consider reasonable customer service. An installation date was eventually provided, but only after I applied considerable pressure. My experience was that Solar Masters were very keen to secure the deposit, but once the deposit had been paid, communication and customer service became extremely poor. More concerningly, on the day of installation, Solar Masters advised that they could not complete the installation in accordance with what had previously been discussed and agreed. I was then presented with additional costs for work and requirements that I had already understood to be included in the original agreement. This is extremely disappointing. I entered into the agreement based on the information and representations provided by Solar Masters and expected the agreed system to be installed for the agreed price. Instead, I ended up with a system that was not delivered as originally agreed and was required to pay additional money on the day. I consider this unacceptable, particularly given that the additional requirements had been discussed in detail before the installation. If Solar Masters knew that these requirements would involve additional costs or could not be completed as quoted, this should have been identified and clearly communicated to me before the installation date — not raised on the day when I had already committed to the installation. I want to make it clear that I have no complaint about the installer himself. He did an excellent job, was professional and courteous, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him. My complaint is specifically about Solar Masters’ communication, management of the installation, failure to deliver what was agreed, and the unexpected additional costs imposed on the day. Overall, this has been a very disappointing customer experience. The lack of communication after receiving the deposit, the failure to properly manage the agreed installation requirements, and the additional costs requested on the day have seriously undermined my confidence in Solar Masters.

Excellent service from Day one. Open and honest quote with no hidden costs. Steve was easy to deal with and provided a quote to suite our requirements. Installation was on time as advised. On site team were able to solve problems easily to provide the best result. No pressure sales like others. Roger kept me informed on the process. I used Solar Masters in Brisbane to install a FoxESS battery and additional solar panels. Travis was excellent to deal with throughout the sales process—knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. There was a fairly lengthy delay before the installation could proceed due to the busy period created by the rebate program, but communication was maintained throughout, which was appreciated. Once the project was handed over to the installation team, everything went smoothly. Roger and the team communicated very well, arrived as scheduled, and were professional throughout the installation. All of the installers were great to deal with, and the quality of the work was excellent. I'm very happy with both the installation and the performance of the system. I would happily recommend Solar Masters to anyone considering solar and battery storage.
