I received several quotes from different solar and battery installers, but some seemed unrealistically cheap and were offering lower-quality systems. After speaking with Josh and his team at Lightning Energy and comparing their quote with the others, I decided to go with them and I'm really glad I did. Going into this, I knew nothing about solar or battery systems. Josh took the time to explain everything clearly and presented a few different options that suited my home and energy needs. There was never any pressure to overspend or be upsold, just honest advice and a system that was right for me. They also supplied and installed an EV charger that integrates seamlessly with the solar and battery system, making everything work together perfectly. The quote was accurate, transparent, and there were no hidden costs or surprises along the way. A big shout out also goes to the installation team, led by Matt. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly hardworking throughout the entire installation. They arrived on schedule, kept me informed of their progress, and completed the installation on my double-storey home in just two days. Their workmanship was first class, and they left everything neat and tidy once the job was finished. The system has been performing flawlessly. During the day, my home is powered by solar and the battery, and I only draw electricity from the grid overnight to take advantage of the cheaper off-peak tariffs to charge my battery and EV. The system has been set up exactly how I wanted it, and it's already making a huge difference to my electricity costs. A huge thank you to Josh, Matt, and the entire Lightning Energy team. Their knowledge, honesty, workmanship, and customer service were exceptional from start to finish. We have had an EV charger installed by the Lightning Energy team first 30 months ago, then a heat-pump hot-water and split-system AC supplied & installed in March '26, and now a whole home rooftop solar and battery system supplied & installed. All communications have been clear, prompt and relevant. The advice given has been excellent while not over-catering to our requirements. They have worked hard to keep the systems affordable with all relevant rebates, and the installation work has been effective, careful and tidy.

1. I met with Lightning Energy at their show room and they were able to answer all the questions i had and then they sent me a quote with all my questions addressed. 2. They gave me a date for the installation and they met the date. 3. The installers were very professional and answered questions I had during the install. 4. The installation was done without any problems. 5, The install includes a battery which is really a must and we have seen the benefit already just in the few weeks we have had the system running 6. So far the system is meeting our expectations.

What an amazing team you have in Adelaide! Scott helped us decide what we needed and under a fair bit of industry pressure, he and his team delivered an outstanding result. I couldn’t be happier. I already had panels on the roof but they were able to supply what would make for the best possible system setup and make it happen. Seamless integration and running perfectly.

After seeing so many build and trade horror stories on TikTok, I went into this process with a fair bit of hesitation. I found Lightning Energy through SolarQuotes, which felt like a somewhat trusted starting point, but from the very first interaction, the vibe I got from these guys was genuinely different. I had more than my fair share of questions, concerns, and indecision. My sales rep was always patient, approachable, and happy to talk through options in detail. There was never any pressure, just honest discussion that helped guide me to decisions I'd already spent countless hours researching around system designs and energy usage. Lightning Energy definitely wasn't the cheapest quote, but I was never going to choose the cheapest option. Their pricing sat in the middle band, and felt fair for what was offered (install pictures sent to me and found on socials). The depth of knowledge and willingness to discuss things in detail stood out, along with the absence of the bs sales feel that I got from some other companies. When it came time for installation, the team were friendly, professional, and more than happy to answer questions, listen to requests, and discuss the more complex technical details with someone who wanted to understand more than their ability allowed for... :D During pre-install inspection the battery wall required fire-resistance sheeting, and I decided I wanted a more seamless look than I had seen on other installs so I arranged this myself. The install team seemed surprised and impressed with the finish, and I showed them progress photos for verification that it was fire-resistant, and when I asked for the presentation to be kept to a high standard, they absolutely delivered. Judge the photo for yourself, but personally, I rate both the install and the entire experience a well-deserved 5/5
