Island Solar emailed me the invoice to pay saying that the job was complete. This is a new build and I am not at the premises . On good faith I paid straight away. 2 weeks later I find out the solar has not been inspected or approved so the job is not finished at all. I query why it is not commissioned and I get an email saying that a 3rd party inspects and I have to wait for them to check it and they can’t give me the details or contact of who it will be! I just have to wait as they don’t know who it is! Why send the invoice and say the job is complete and expect payment when the system is not even approved? I then emailed Island Energy again and receive another email that their office is now closed for one month!! So I have paid in full for solar and it is not working and I can’t talk to anyone for another month. I would not recommend them as this is not good enough to take payment when the job is not completed. Update. Now the 15/1/26 and it is still not commissioned and they do not respond to emails. Called Ausnet and they said they won’t have lodged the electrical certificate with the supplier. They advised me to report them to consumer affairs to get it sorted. Very stressful having ro deal with this company.

Island Energy designed and installed our 10kw PV System last year and we couldn't be happier with the product, service and the installation process. Joel was really helpful and made more than a few trips to the house we were living remotely from to help gather information in preparation for the installation. He designed a system that has been performing exceptionally well over the past year. He was always available to answer calls and emails and his staff and installers were also great to deal with. Highly recommend Joel and Island Energy for any solar needs.
